Dime line is the rate at which a 10% tax is levied in favor of the bookmaker because of the large difference between the outsider and the favorite. Some American bookmakers levy 10% of the bet amount. This happens when the difference in the odds between the outsider and the favorite is more than 100 points (according to the American coefficient).
