- The AFC Leopard midfielder had a trial session with the Spanish side in September 2019. He said joining Velez CF will be a dream come true and he will always honor AFC Leopards.
“Many people have been asking about my Spain trial trip and I want to say everything went on well,” Saad stated.
“I only had problems with my VISA since I had only applied for two weeks one. I was to return to January but my new passport came late. I had another invite in May but Corona happened.” Saad explained.
“The last two invites were not trials but rather one that I was going to sign a deal. So I’m confident that everything will be well when football returns.” He added.
The midfielder is still loyal to AFC Leopards and his name is still on the club’s records. His current contract is active until June 2022. He has a lot to offer for the team for as long as he is available and he remains positive that when the time comes, he will leave in the best possible terms.
“I can’t leave without the consent of AFC Leopards since I still have a running contract with them. I know Valez will begin talks with the team towards the deal and everything will be in plain white. They’ve helped me and I wouldn’t want to leave without their blessings, the midfielder added.
The former Azam Academy and Thika united midfielder joined the Leopards den in June 2018. He is optimistic about finalizing the deal as soon as the world returns to normalcy.
Saad looks forward to finding greener pastures in Spain. Velez was founded in 1922 and plays its matches at the Estadio Vivar Tellez in Malaga. The stadium has a capacity of 3000 people. The club is promising.
