- The Borussia Dortmund forward Jadon Sancho has to snub Manchester United insists he rather joins Liverpool than Manchester United because they have a greater chance of winning silverware next season.
The Red Devils have been in hot pursuit of Sancho who is apparently keen to return to the city he used to live and make a name for himself in the Premier League.
But it is reported that Sancho is having second thoughts about signing for Manchester United. Instead, it’s claimed that the 20-year-old would rather sign for the Red Devils’ bitter rivals Liverpool.
With United being the only clubs who can afford to splash £100million on a new player in this summer’s transfer window, it seems that this is more appealing to Sancho, who would be part of a transition at United.
What’s more, Klopp admitted he’s not too keen on making changes this summer and is happy keeping hold of the relatively small, but excellent, squad he has.
“An unbelievably intense season is waiting for all of us, with four weeks less than usual, they will be unique, interesting challenges,” said Klopp.
“Look, the perfect scenario for a football manager is that you have 40 players available and they are all happy, then you just pick 20 for three weeks, then you pick the other 20. But it doesn’t work like that. The world is not like this.
“That will not help, we will have solutions for that. We have young players. The size of the squad is not that important to me, the quality of the squad is very much so. I think we will have a really good squad for next season,” Klopp said.
“We have to consider that because we are responsible not only for the success of the club but everyone who works here. So we have to wait. We have a really good squad,” he concluded.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side struggled and managed it on the final day of the campaign to make the champions league spot, making the Old Trafford a much more attractive proposition for Sancho.
